Overview

Bringing a showroom feel to a growing product catalog

National Flooring and Carpet Centre (NFCC) is a Melbourne flooring and carpet retailer with a physical showroom in Nunawading and a growing catalog spanning hybrid, timber, laminate, herringbone, and carpet products. I joined the redesign as part of Tiva Digital’s internal web team, contributing UI/UX design and front-end build work in Elementor Pro alongside a developer who handled the more technical implementation. The goal was straightforward but not simple: take a catalog-heavy, service-driven business and give it a site that feels as considered as the showroom itself — one that guides visitors from browsing products to booking a free in-home measure and quote.

Focus

Where I spent most of my time

UI/UX design improvements across key templates — homepage, product pages, service pages, and contact. Responsive page design built in Elementor Pro, tested across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints. Visual consistency and user experience optimization — aligning spacing, color use, and component styling across pages that had grown organically over time. Front-end page structuring and content presentation, turning dense product and service information into scannable, well-paced layouts.
I worked alongside another developer on the team who handled the more technical implementation — custom functionality, forms, and backend configuration — while I focused on the design and front-end structuring side of the build.
01 — Core pages

Home, About, and Contact

These three pages carry the most traffic and the most first impressions — so they got the closest attention to visual hierarchy: a clear hero with the trust signal (Google rating) up front, scannable product categories, and a contact page that puts the quote form, showroom hours, and map on equal footing instead of burying any one of them.
02 — Product page

Making a spec sheet feel like a showroom conversation

Flooring purchases hinge on specifics — thickness, wear layer, warranty, install method — so the product template needed to hold a full spec table without feeling like a datasheet. Collapsible detail sections keep the page approachable for a first-time browser while the full technical detail stays one click away for someone ready to compare.

03 — Hybrid landing page

A dedicated landing page for the best-selling category

Hybrid flooring is NFCC’s strongest-selling category, so it got its own landing page rather than sitting inside the general product catalog — built to answer the questions a buyer actually has (is it waterproof, how much does it cost, how long does installation take) before asking for their details.
